Hive Garden Question Week 46 "Planning"
Regarding your garden, are you a chaotic and disorganized gardener or an orderly and organized one? If you plan, how do you do it and what tools do you use? Do you record the data for each year or just memorize it? Do you use online tools to record or plan, or a physical journal
I use simple tools that every gardener, no matter how amateur, should have. The main ones I have here at home are machetes, hoe shovels, a pickaxe, and hoses for watering. I'm thinking of getting a sprinkler soon, since I want to plant corn again, to help me water the land more effectively. I'm also debating whether to buy sacks or buckets for planting potatoes. That's definitely one of my goals for later this year; having my own potato harvest would be amazing.
As I mentioned before, I'm disorganized and don't write down the planting dates. I try to memorize them by remembering something that happened on or around that day. That's how I manage most of the time, although I could do it on my phone or in a small notebook, but I don't like to. Maybe I rely too much on my memory. But since it's not professional gardening, just for us at home, I don't worry too much about it. What matters is enjoying the harvest that I've worked so hard for. Perhaps later on, I might have the opportunity to own a larger plot of land with more plants, and well, with other responsibilities in my gardening, such as when fertilizing or applying insecticide against pests. Then I'll probably have to use my phone to save and document all that information, which is very important.
This concludes my brief participation in the questions of week -46 here in the #hivegarden community, with the topic: Planning. I'm also grateful to @gardenhive for giving us the opportunity to showcase our gardening skills. In my case, for now, I'm just an amateur, but later, God willing, I'll become a professional and earn a living from what I harvest myself.
