After seeing the recent arrests of Keonne Rodriguez and William Lonergan Hill, founders of the Samourai Wallet, it’s becoming pretty clear that Self Custodial wallets are most likely going to be next on the hit list and may even become illegal, meaning KYC (Know Your Customers) will most likely be a requirement for all crypto related businesses in the future.

Despite the argument by Bitcoin privacy supporters that the ability to conduct transactions anonymously is not just a preference but a fundamental right, Governments want to come after your privacy and control where and with whom you can spend money. As the stranglehold of regulation and control takes a hold, anonymous wallets will become harder and harder to come by.

Will autocracy win out, are there options for the people and if so, what side effects are these going to come with?
