The bull is a symbol of the earth and fertility.
In the Iranian mythological tradition Ahriman killed the eternal bull Gayomart, and from his remains appeared all living things, plants, trees and animals, as well as the first pair of people. The same thing was done by Mitra. In Greek myths we can remember the half-bull half-man Minotaur. After which the city of Athens blossomed. Egyptian mythology especially honors the bull Apis. Which is also a symbol of fertility. The priests performed rituals to kill the bull to lose the death of the bull (they sacrificed it) for the sake of fertility and life. Also the Egyptians believed that all the gods were originally bulls and cows. And then they turned into one black bull. The bull and thunder are symbols of the atmospheric deities. The bull is a transition zone between the elements of fire and water. He kind of combines the Sun and the Moon. Which is respectively fire ๐ฅ and water ๐ง and the fact that the bull symbolizes the transitional between these elements means that it links heaven and earth. The bull symbolized an earthly body with a soul containing sacred teachings.
