Hispapro | Witness Update - Happy HF28

Greetings to the entire community!

Today is a great day for everyone. We are currently celebrating the implementation of Hardfork number 28 of our blockchain, and we are thrilled to announce that the Hispapro witness is now ready. We have updated the node to version 1.28.3, thereby ensuring greater transaction stability.

As you all know, on June 19, 2023, we presented the Hispapro witness node to the community with a commitment to drive innovation and technological development, support and empower Spanish-speaking users, and promote Hive in communities outside our ecosystem.

Some details about HF28

We know that every update always seeks to improve, and this one in particular marks one of the most important advances for Hive, as it takes into account several fundamental aspects of how the blockchain works. Among these, we can mention improvements in curating, greater security in access keys, and the expansion of block size, among other more technical details that mean medium- and long-term improvements.

Technical aspects of the Hispapro witness

The virtual server is a VPS that has:

8 CPUs

24 GB of RAM

1.2 TB of storage

Current situation and what lies ahead

We are currently the only active Hive witness in Venezuela. The bear market that has hit us hard during this long period has been one of the main reasons why our colleagues have shut down their nodes. Added to this are the low rewards obtained based on position and the number of blocks signed.

As I write this, the Hispapro witness is ranked 74th, taking into account that several nodes are currently being updated. We are fully confident that we will continue to work to improve our ranking and thus be able to invest more time in continuing to create value within the blockchain.
