Hiroshima OktoberFest - In September!
Went into the centre of Hiroshima yesterday to hang out at their annual "Oktoberfest" event, which is always held in September. It was a lovely day to chill over a few beers in the open air.
Mind you, the prices of the German beers were exorbitant! That Pilsner I'm holding cost ¥1,500, or about $10.00.
Apart from the prices, it was a well-run event, with plenty of trestles to sit at, most of which were under awnings so we could drink in the shade.
The venue, Hiroshima Gate-Park, opened in February and is just over the road from Peace Park, situated where the old and well-loved baseball stadium used to be.

I pushed the boat out a bit too far yesterday, so am chilling at home today. Nice early night, and up early tomorrow for the first day of the autumn term at one of my college gigs.
Cheers!
