How To Withdraw Satoshis from Satsman if You Live in the USA
Today I want to address an important question that comes up from people using Satsman in the United States.
The Lightning wallet options shown on the Satsman withdrawal page are Blink and Wallet of Satoshi. The issue is that neither of those wallets is available in the US.
So the question is, can American users of Satsman.com withdraw their satoshis?
To get an answer, I logged in to my Satsman account and put the question to the live AI assistant chat bot:
The answer I got from the chat bot is good news for Americans! You can withdraw your sats to ANY lightning wallet that is available in the USA.
There are several Lightning wallets that do operate in the United States. These include Strike, Cash App, Phoenix Wallet, Muun Wallet, Zeus, and Breez. Among these, Strike and Cash App are apparently considered the easiest for beginners because they are designed with U.S. users in mind and have straightforward interfaces. (Let me know in the comments if you use any of these wallets.)
The withdrawal process itself does not really change. Instead of using Blink or Wallet of Satoshi, a U.S. user simply installs one of the supported wallets that works in their state, and paste their lightning address in the address field inside their Satsman account when processing a withdrawal.
After submitting the request, the withdrawal goes into the usual review process. As with other withdrawals, processing typically takes between 24 and 48 hours while the transaction is reviewed for security purposes.
Because regulations and app availability can vary from state to state in the USA, some users may find that certain wallets work better for them than others. If there is any uncertainty, check with the chat bot inside Satsman.com and it can probably give you some useful info.
The important takeaway is that living in the United States does not prevent you from withdrawing your Bitcoin from Satsman. You just need to use a Lightning wallet that is available where you live. Once that is in place, the withdrawal process works in essentially the same way as it does for users in other countries.
Cheers!
