Happy New Year coffee card
Hello, coffee lovers and friends in the community. Happy New Year to you all!
Today, while cleaning my kitchen cupboard, I discovered some old coffee from last year that we had saved to eliminate odors from the fridge. The coffee still smells okay but it's completely melted and become a big sticky lump.
At the same time, I got the idea to create a New Year's card for the community using coffee as paint. I used to paint sometimes a little as a hobby, but this is the first time trying to paint with coffee. After finishing my card I thought now I have plenty of coffee to make paintings.
Here is how I did it.
The condition of the old coffee.
I dissolved the coffee lump in the water and made two shades one is dark and one very light.
here I had these things that I used to make this card.
Handmade painting paper
two shades of coffee
no. 2 and no. 12 painting brushes
pencil
eraser
extra lump of coffee in case I needed it.
I drew this picture of a cup of coffee.
I had some handmade drawing paper. Previously I was trying to sketch some lines on the canvas. It was very old. But in good condition. I need a little practice to draw on this type of
paper but I managed it.
First I started to paint the background with light shade.
But it didn't look right so I started with no. 2 brush dark coffee making outlines of the cup.
Once I finished the outlines of the cup
I painted the whole paper with a light shade of coffee.
I needed a darker shade so I added some more coffee to my paint.
After finishing my coffee cup
To make a border I use an incense stick- we call it Dhupbatti which is used in rituals.
using this Dhupbatti I burned the edges of the paper,
I was missing the cinnamon stick and logo CCC.
And finalised Cinnamon Cup Coffee
Happy healthy, peaceful, prosperous New Year 2025 Community and Host @millycf1976.
thank you very much
