Monomad: The dog lost in meditation
Today's photos were taken on Christmas Day. Four of us friends went to summit Kedarkantha Peak, which is 3800 meters high. There hasn't been any snowfall in the Indian Himalayas since October, so we didn't see any snow on this hike either.
But besides the snow, we saw so much more that was incredibly beautiful. We saw a dog sitting at 3800 meters, seemingly lost in contemplation of the sunset. The scene was so magnificent that I stood on a slippery boulder to capture a photo of it.
We trekked through cedar forests where we met many other hikers heading towards the summit. We saw 'Juda ka Talab' (Juda Lake), where we witnessed the unique reflection of the forest and tents in the water. We experienced the sunlight filtering through the trees.
We saw the mountains shrouded in fog, looking as if they were in deep meditation, and we saw a boy completely exhausted from the climb. So, this was our unique journey where we didn't see snow, but we saw everything else, we experienced nature, and we enjoyed ourselves amidst the mountains.
This is my entry for #monomad challenge.
