Thiksey Monastery is the largest monastery in UT Laddakh or North India. It is situated 22km far from Leh city. The monastery is famous for its architecture and its landscapes.
The altitude of this monastery is 11,800ft from sea level. If someone wish to spend a few days here is welcome in monasteries guest house in affordable price. Stok mountain range is clearly visible from monastery. Almost 500+ buddhist monk live here, they practice their religion and educate other monks.
