A Himalayan Photo Diary

Every day I wake up with the first rays of the sun and look at the mountains and flowers. I listen carefully to the words that nature is silently saying, “Winter has come and when will the snow fall?”. The wind blows from one mountain to another as if the message of the flowers is to be conveyed to the entire valley that “before the snow falls, all the bumblebees come and touch us with love”.

So many beautiful moments are passing around me every moment and I insist on capturing every moment in the camera, but my heart also knows that the camera cannot cover everything. The camera can only see what is in front of it whereas I always wish that the camera could also cover the feeling that I feel after seeing it.

If the camera could capture the thoughts then I would like to see “How do thoughts appear on the laptop screen?”. Do they have any colour?, do they also have any gender? And is the thought only mine or did it come to me from someone else and come and stay with me?

What a deep connection there is between the camera and the eye. The camera presents to us what the eyes see. Then we do color correction in it and present it to the world and get applause. When the sun's rays fall on the flowers, all the flowers rise up with their branches and spend all their energy just in absorbing the sunlight in their bosom.

Thought has become a flying kite, today my mind is flying from here to there in a moment. Right now the temperature here is around 6 degrees, the heater is running in the room and I am writing a blog for Hive while drinking hot tea. I had clicked all the photos of today's post just four hours ago, then edited them in Lightroom and now I will post them after writing a blog. Then I will keep track of how many votes I received and reply to the comments. In this way I will make the slow life a little faster and also a little exciting.

I am in Chhairan, a small village in the Indian Himalayas and I cut off the legs of my fast-paced life by coming here. I sleep early and wake up late. I lie in the sun most of the time. It's cold so I don't feel like taking a bath at all, yet today I have taken a bath for the fourth day and yes, I have also washed my clothes in cold water. Here the minimum temperature at night is -4 degrees and at that time I am in such deep sleep that even if a lion comes, I will not wake up. By the way, leopard is coming to this village every night.

Till then, you guys eat something good and lighten the weight of life a bit. Don't know how much its meaning changes when the Hindi post is translated into English. bye now
