Kind acts for those in need, operation safe winter!
It is well below zero today in my town with a "real feel" of -24°F. Everyone is feeling it, but the homeless population gets hit the hardest. People literally freeze to death out on these streets in spite of there being shelters nearby because the shelters are just too full.
Enter the angels. Someone (probably a group of someomes)with a big, big heart was out early this morning sprinkling our city with scarves for those in need. A huge variety, hand knit, fancy ones, fleece ones, fluffy ones, all different lengths and textures and sizes. They were placed exactly in the right areas where our homeless community will easily find them.
Each had a little note attached, you maybe familiar with them. "I am not lost. If you find yourself in the cold please take me to warm yourself on this bitter day." Beautiful.
Your kindness will be remembered for a long, long time.
