History of Ferrari 275
The Ferrari 275 was presented during the 1964 Paris Motor Show with the 275 GTS designed by Pininfarina...

... and the 275 GTB by Scaglietti with a more sports car look. The 275 GTB/4 made its public debut two years later at Paris. Only 331 examples were built until March 1968.
Perfect car to introduce Carrozzeria Scaglietti, founded in Maranello (neigbour of Ferrari) in 1951 by Sergio Scaglietti near to the brother’s automotive repair workshop. The talent of the two brothers was noticed by Enzo Ferrari with this reparation:
”Around the middle of 1953, a certain Cacciari, a producer of sheet metal and a passionate racing fan, came into my brother’s repair shop. He had had an accident and his Ferrari was in pretty bad shape. We re-made almost the entire body.” - Sergio Scaglietti (source : magazine.ferrari.com)
Then Enzo ordered a bodywork to Scaglietti for his new 500 Mondial :

The Scaglietti Story began... Now, the Scaglietti company is still in business with Ferrari producing coachworks for the supercar 488 Pista or LaFerrari.

The Ferrari 275 GTB/4 is equipped an 3,286cc DOHC V12 engine for up to 300 hp with 6 Weber carburetors. The reason behind the /4 was the first to use the Colombo engine a double overhead camshafts.
The GTB/4 has a more aggressive design than the GTS thanks to the long hood with its plexiglass covered headlamps, the integrated rear-spoiler and the side-vents. This hand-built sports cars is almost a work of art, if it's not already one 😀
