Storytime Walk #1

It was a sunny Saturday afternoon and I decided to take a leisurely stroll through the neighborhood. As I walked, I found myself drawn to the small, colorful plastic objects that littered the sidewalk. They were bottle caps, discarded and forgotten by those who had enjoyed their drinks.

I started to pick them up, one by one, and soon I had a small collection in my hand. There were all sorts of colors and designs - red ones with the logo of a popular soda brand, green ones with the logo of a local brewery, and silver ones with no branding at all.

I walked for a while longer, occasionally stopping to pick up another bottle cap that caught my eye. It was a simple pleasure, but it made me feel connected to the community around me. I imagined the people who had dropped these bottle caps, going about their lives and enjoying their drinks.

As I turned to head back home, I realized that I had a whole handful of bottle caps. I had no real use for them, but I couldn't bring myself to throw them away. I decided to keep them in a jar on my shelf, a small reminder of my enjoyable afternoon stroll and the people who had left their mark passing through.
