If You Could Have Been From Somewhere Else
People are asked, where they're from or where they would like to live, if they could. What about, where do you wish you were from? That was a question I saw the other day. A new one to me. Though there are many places I hope to visit someday with my husband, I'm very happy to live where we do now. It's a beautiful area & lovely community. We feel like it's home. I'm also glad to be from where I grew up. Sebastopol, CA. Smaller town (8000 people) & more rural area. Northwest of San Francisco. There are other things I wish had been different about my childhood (a non abusive mother, a religious upbringing that was less strict. The town I'm from isn't one of them. Would you have liked to have been from somewhere else? If so, where? Below is a photo of part of downtown Sebastopol.
