#KeepExploring - Tera Kora, Curacao

Greetings everyone!
How are you doing these days?

Welcome back to another edition of #KeepExploring. In these post I'll try to take you with me on my journey around the island Curacao.
I personally get a lot of positive energy from exploring so who knows I might inspire you to do the same in your country 🀞🏾🀞🏾🀞🏾.

Tera Kora

(translation Red Earth)
Honestly I didn't know this was here...
But there is this area on the north side of the island that stretches from the Airport and beyond. Technically it's also called Hato Vlakte and it's a bit above the neighborhood Tera Kora.

It's a particularly dry area and it gave me a real western movie feel. Cowboy up!
We went on a buggy tour, with a few stops. In typical western fashion it was next level dusty! Wear your sunglasses or you'll go blind level dusty πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚...

But I digress.. In that area you also find the giant windmills or Turbines.
I'm not getting into a whole clean energy debate here but I certainly don't mind them being here. As a photography
lover I was worried about man made things ruining the nature look.. But it wasn't that bad. On the contrary it had something... A vibe..

Kueba di Brua

(Witches cave)

Legend has it that some locals believe that these caves are haunted. Something about rituals being performed there in the olden days. I'm sorry to have to write this but I paid too little attention to the details hahaha. On the one hand I was focused on the getting some good shots and on the other hand you're not going to explain to me how the caves are seemingly haunted and then expect me to just waltz in there 🀣🀣🀣. Sometimes it's better to zone out...

The entrance was simply amazing!

Entering the cave I could see how it would be a good hiding spot from the elements. A makeshift home if you will... It was cool as opposed to outside where it was scorching hot...

But we were not alone... Not alone at all.. Basically all of Batman's cousins greeting us in a frantic aerial dance.

I'm just glad I watched enough David Attenbrough documentaries to trust in their sonar system πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚.

Lastly we ended up at the coast. Not a hard feat of course, since Curacao is still an island. But the North coast is wild! Big waves, strong winds, cool pics!!

We stayed there to have a snack and a drink. It was good day...

I'm glad to continue to explore Curacao and hope you get some inspiration to do the same (here or where you live).
If you have any questions or comments let me know below!

Cheers...
