THORSwap - #RUNE Swap for #BNB - Where did my #BNB Go?

Hey All,

Did we enter the crypto bull phase? Its is always good to see #BTC making big strides and other crypto tokens following along. The global cryptocurrency market cap today is $1.31 Trillion, which is almost 1% higher when compared with the last 24 hours trading numbers. I did book some profits here by exchanging/swapping around 150+ #RUNE for #BNB via the streaming swap feature available on Thorswap Web App. The swap took a while but when the transaction was complete, I did notice the #BNB made avaialble in my wallet.

I was shocked and was a bit worried not to see 1.4+ $BNB which is like $330+ dollars missing. Definitely this would raise an alarm and one would start digging around what went wrong here. After a lot of reading and research I found out that I need to again connect my wallet again where it shows BNB Smart Chain and next to it there is the Connect Button.

I did not understand that when I am already logged in then why do I need to login again to see my #BNB in the wallet. It looks like you will need to login again by selecting the chain for which you want to have a look at your funds once the swap is done. In our example the swap was done for #RUNE for #BNB and after the swap is complete one would need to login by selecting the chain for which you have done swap for so in our example here I had to login by selecting - BNB Smart Chain icon.

The next question arises what should be the wallet selection and the keys to be used. I was confused here myself and then tried with the same method as to which I used to connect to the #RUNE wallet. Which simply means that you will need to connect to the wallet for which the swap has been done in a similar fashion when you connected to ThorSwap for swapping with other tokens. And once I did that I could see my #BNB in the wallet; here is the snapshot of my wallet on ThorSwap App::

You can clearly see the 1.4+ #BNB now and the same procedure you can follow when you do a swap for any coin on ThorSwap and you see your funds are missing all you need to do is::

• Login again with the chain selection for which you are looking for funds to be arrived after the swap...

A lesson learned hard way by learning and researching. But it was fun exploring to get the answer to the question::
