It's a great position to be in when the stock in your portfolio hits an upper circuit and a bad position when it hits a lower circuit. After all, we are all looking for profits and will always hope that our investment doubles, triples, or just continues to grow exponentially. I will not go into the details of explaining what the upper and lower circuits mean in the stock market, but a brief summary is a must here.

Stock Upper Circuit::

In simple terms it means the price of the stock has hit a high price for the day and now there are only buyers of the stock no sellers. Overall a good situation to be IN...

Stock Lower Circuit::

The opposite of upper circuit is lower circuit which means that the price of a stock has hit the lower price of the day and now there are only sellers no buyers. Overall a bad situation to be IN...

Stock Hits Upper Circuit - What Strategy I Follow....

Have a look at the above image which summarizes my stock portfolio and the most interesting part which I want to get into is that of todays profits which was around Rs.48K+ which is like $570+ dollars.. cool isn't it? Well the good news is that this was because of one of my stock which is in edible or you can say FMCG[Fast-Moving Consumer Goods] category hit an Upper Circuit today. Its none other that Adani Wilmar Ltd - ticker AWL; just have a look at the spike in the price movement from Rs. 360 to Rs.393

I have close to 700+ share of AWL and I have been accumulating it for a long time now. Yes, today I did sell 50 shares of it booked profit and considering it hit upper circuit I plan to now sell like 25 share daily so as to maximize my profit percentage. And to be honest this investment took years to come at this stage so its not that easy money. When you keep buying at every dip, you start wondering: When will I book profits, or is this stock always going to decline? Patience is the key - just follow your investment strategy consistently, keep rotating funds, and the day will definitely come when you see huge profits. It’s just a matter of waiting for the right time for that stock you are invested in.
