Liquid Staking - What it Is? My Plans for Liquid Staking...

We have the Liquid Staking announced by @Disperzze team on twitter. They have launched Liquid Staking solution for the #EVMOS network; which currently is giving out 157% APR as of writing this article. Before we get any further lets try to under stand;

What is Liquid Staking???

Liquid staking is a rapidly growing alternative to locking up a users’ tokens and contributing to the security of Proof-of-Stake blockchains.

The main difference between Liquid Staking and traditional methods of staking requires bonding and unbonding of assets which may range from days to weeks. But whereas liquid staking provides stakers with increased liquidity and capital efficiency. When you liquid stake your assets you get another equivalent asset that you can trade or exchange for different crypto assets. For example if I liquid Stake 150 $EVMOS on Disperze App, I'll get 149+ $yEVMOS tokens that I can trade or swap it for any tokens of my choice. And if I want my $EVMOS back then I need to unstake the same amount to tokens for which I had provided liquidity staking.

Unstaking your assets will be require an unbonding period before you can withdraw your tokens. I did earlier leverage the $STRIDE APP to liquid stake $ATOM for $stATOM and so far the experience has been great. I'm earning $STRD daily as reward for staking. To be honest, I'm not directly jumping into the providing liquid staking of $EVMOS on Disperze App,. I need to see if there are any other Apps doing the same and what APRs they are providing. All the $EVMOS collected is via staking and hence wouldn't like to loose these rewards so easily. So for now its a wait and watch game and if I see Liquid Staking gaining momentum then for sure will look to at least liquid stake 200+ $EVMOS tokens and will take it form there.... cheers
