Laksh’s Trinity Grade 1 Final Performance | Certified | 🎸 Next Stop: Grade 2

Hey All,

image.png

This is a back to back post around Laksh music journey. Remember sometime last month I did share that he got certified for the Initial Guitar level from Trinity College London. Here is the post that I am referring to - Laksh – Trinity College London Music Certification Initials Passed with Distinction. And now the good news is that he cleared the Grade 1 examination as well with flying colors. As part of the guidelines we were not supposed to share the perfromance on any social media platfrom [even the blockchain #HIVE platform] until the results were out. As I have promised that I would be sharing all his final performance being submittied to the university for the evaluation so here is the Grade 1 perfromance on three songs that was submitted to the university for review...So without a furtherado lets have a look at the stunning perfromance from Laksh here....

Curious on the - Exam results from Trinity College London so here it is::

Candidate name: Laksh Gupta
Category: Rock & Pop
Instrument: Guitar
Level: Grade 1

Instead of doing all the writing its better to share the image that speaks the results

For every grade, students need to perform three songs selected from a list provided by the university. Laksh chose the following three songs, and I am also sharing the feedback/comments given by the examiner — not the exact wordings, just a brief summary to maintain privacy and confidentiality.

Song 1 | Love Is The Drug: Roxy Music

Laksh showed good rhythm and smooth melodic playing throughout the performance. Despite a few minor mistakes and limited dynamics, it was an overall confident and reliable presentation.

Song 2 | Oh Yeah: The Subways

The chord transitions were handled smoothly, and the overall performance remained accurate and well controlled. Although the dynamics could have been more expressive in parts, it was a confident and successful pop rendition overall.

Song 3 - Technical Focus | I Can't Explain: The Who

The rhythm and articulation remained steady throughout, with strong power chords in the chorus. Despite a few minor stumbles, the recovery was quick and the overall 60’s pop style came through well.

Have a look at the perfromance and do let me know if your are a guitarist and the comments provided by the examiner is inline or not and what are the areas of foscus should be for LAKSH as he continues in journey for getting certified for Grade 2 Now...thats coming SooN as well... And yes, how could I end this post without sharing the final digital certificate that Laksh received — here it is! We are truly grateful to Trinity College London and to the music academy UnitedString where he continues to learn and grow as a guitarist.

Finally - Thanks to everyone who’s been part of this journey and every encouragement/feedback given truly fuels the momentum. Well this should be it for todays post on - "Laksh’s Trinity Grade 1 Final Performance | Certified | 🎸 Next Stop: Grade 2..." Enjoy the music and let me know how you feel about the music - whether it inspires you, excites you, or just lifts your mood....cheers
