Group Chat Scam Alert WhatsApp/Telegram - Be Cautious...

Hey All,

Today as soon as I logged into my stock broker mobile app Sharekhan. I got to see this message that popped up on my screen and it said::

"Scam Alert - Group Chat Scam Alert Using WhatsApp/Telegram"

How often do we see these type of scam alerts? No doubt about it, scams are everywhere, and one needs to be very cautious about it. The best way to stay safe is to understand that quick or free money is rarely available, especially in a short span of time. If we keep this in mind, we can avoid falling prey to such scams. The same goes true in the Crypto space as well and we have an example here to that is tied to the meme coins and the DeFi where we see rug pull happening quite often. Paying higher APRs, promises being made in group chats about a stock or coin to rise exponential, unsolicited PRs are a just few indicator to realize that all of this is a part of a SCAM attack.

There are bad guys out there trying to scam you and take away your hard-earned money. Lets quick see some of the pointers that should indicate you that what you are about to indulge in maybe a SCAM.

• Very high APRs
• Get rich QUICK
• Too Good to Be True; false promises
• Urgency & Pressure; buy it quickly as an example
• Requesting for Personal or Financial Info
• Impersonating themselves
• No track record
• WhatsApp/Telegram groups

These are just a few but definitely being aware and taking a cautious decision can come in handy. Always do your research before investing into a project. Have a look at the website, check for their authenticity and see what people are talking about them in forums and then only go for investing else just let it go. There will come many more opportunities your way and just think that this was not your cup of tea and wait for the right opportunity knocking your door.
