Freewriting - Keep It Private Until It's Permanent...

Hey All,

There is this old saying which perfectly fits well here in this blog post - "Being private in certain areas in your life is not a bad thing" In Hindi language we say it "Nazar Lag Jati Hae" which mean that if you share in public about what you are planning or going to do; lets say almost closing on a deal of buying an apartment before its done it can cause some trouble i.e. certain superstitious beliefs might cause some trouble, increasing the likelihood that the deal may not go through. Therefore always give it a second thought before sharing something important with a larger audience.

In this blog post we will look into some of those areas where one should keep things private until they have become permanent. The above image which I took from one my X feed - "TheActionableMind" clearly depicts six of those main areas to be cautious about before speaking out loud.

- Your LOVE Life

- Your Planning & Strategies

- Your Income Sources

- Your Happiness

- Your Dreams & Goals

So the questions that comes to mind is why keep it Private? Well in my opinion what happens is that if you share your lets says dreams and goals and if by chance they are not achieved then it gives them a chance to mock at you or bitch about it with your friends when you are not around. Now lets assume that you shared "Your Planning & Strategies" only when you have achieved the outcome then the story all together will be different. Instead of now mocking you become a HERO and is given as an example to others like a role model. Do you see the perspective of people how they change all of a sudden? In simple words when you achieve significant success or expertise in a particular area, people will notice your knowledge and accomplishments. As a result, they will turn to you for advice, guidance, or insights because they trust your experience and wisdom. Also one more point that I want to make here is around the confidence that can break before share things with others before it becomes permanent. Means lets say that you are almost 90% there with your passive income sources to be permanent. And now that you have shared the same with your friend before achieving the same there is high likely chances that your confidence will be shaken - what if now if you are not able to achieve that GOAL what will people say about you? Altogether this thought in mind brings some distraction in your path. Therefore its imperative to think twice before you speak.
