Does Undelegating Crypto Assets Gets You Staking Rewards? - Answered with an Example...

In the crypto land we all know that delegating crypto assets to validators gets you staking rewards. No matter what the staking rewards APR might look like - but then the obvious question that comes to our minds is that will the undelegation of the crypto assets still get you the staking rewards if you happen to undelegate your stake. In this post, I am going to try to answer this question with an example::

My 1K+ $EVMOS Delegated

Here as example you see in the above image that I have delegated close to 1K+ $EVMOS to receive staking rewards. On a daily basis for this amount of $EVMOS staked I am getting 2+ $EVMOS daily as staking rewards. Last week I had initiated the process of undelegating my staked $EVMOS and the same is reflected in the below image::

So until my delegation was staked, I was receiving the $EVMOS rewards. But as soon as I did initiated the undelegation the staked rewards stop coming in now and rather now I have to wait for a period of 14 days for my delegation on the crypto assets to be available at my dispersal. Earlier, I was of the option even if one undelegate your staked crypto assets you should be eligible for the staking rewards until the tokens are available in your wallet.

Anyways that assumption was false and now we clear know that undelegation of crypto assets will not get you the staking rewards immediately when you have initiated the undelegation process and confirmed it on the blockchain. In a brief note as to why I undelegated my $EVMOS stake is becausae I am planing to liquid stake these $EVMOS on STRIDE platform and then leverage the liquid staked $EVMOS on the forge.trade - which is an @EvmosOrg community owned DEX and take advantage of Defi rewards here as well. Let see how this churns out. I will make a seprate post once I have moved these $EVMOS on the DEX forge.trade.... cheers
