Bee Hive Update New Queen Added
Keep learning new skills. Think about the generational knowledge your great-grandparents or grandparents possessed and how they were self-sustaining. I know my great-grandparents didn’t rely on any grocery store to feed themselves or their families. Where did we go wrong? The knowledge of how to be self sufficient has dwindled due to convenience entering our lives. There is a trade for everything, and I don’t think this trade was worth it!
I want to continue learning on my homestead.
I want to continue to grow my own food.
I want to continue to raise my own food.
Did you know the power of dandelions?
We have been trained to think they are a weed. In fact, they are a healer. I let them flourish on my homestead. I make jam out of them. My bees eat them early in the spring. They give life.
Bees are all part of this and with my now four hives one of them needed a new queen which you can see in the pictures. They quickly took to her and the hive is now florishing.
