July Challenge 1

Hello there! How're you all doing? I've not been around for some time, so I might've missed some lovely poems and challenges. I'm back now and ready to rumble!
Thanks to everyone that participated in the last challenge, I really appreciate the time and effort you put into it. Without further ado, let's dive into this week's challenge!

Prompt: “The Edge of Danger”

Danger isn’t always flashing lights and loud alarms. Sometimes, it’s a quiet tension, a feeling in your chest, a line you're afraid (or tempted) to cross. For this prompt, write about danger in any form.

  • What does danger look like to you? A person? A place? A feeling?
  • Was it external or internal? Were you running from something or toward it?
  • How did your body react? Did time slow down, senses sharpen, or did everything blur?
  • Did you face it, flee, or fall into it? And what did that choice cost you?

Bonus challenge: Let danger be a character; seductive, violent, misunderstood, or something only you recognize for what it truly is.

Make your words pulse. Let the reader feel the breath catch, the heartbeat rise, the stillness before everything changes.
