Vain Glory

Galatians 5:26 Let us not be desirous of vain glory, provoking one another, envying one another.

The desire to be praised, applauded, recognized or preferred above others is vanity.

Vain glory is any glory given to man instead of God. Brethren, no man is to be praised, irrespective of the achievement, for without God we are nothing and can do nothing.

The desire to be recognized or praised brings about envy and provocation among brethren. The enemy uses that route to corrupt one mind against another and the result is hatred, malice and ungodly competition.

Let us give God the glory. The only glory that is not vain is the one given to the Almighty God.

God alone is to be glorified.

Abba Father, thank you for your mercy and mighty works upon us. Please help us to give you all the glory and deliver us from ungodly desires, in Jesus name. Amen.
