Paper mache from newspaper
Earlier today I tried to upload a picture of my goodies for the trick or treat. But from my end the picture isn't showing up in the system. And up to now I still have not figured out how to edit pictures once they have been uploaded earlier. So here is a repost of the picture
So how do you make a paper mache from old newspaper. My talented colleague just cramped them and made a big ball. Wrapped around them tissue paper and use cooked cornstarch or "gawgaw " as we call it in my locality after one layer of tissue has been made. He then tried to mold the tissue as to the facial features. Dried.Paint it over with white paint then highlight the eyes and the lips and viola.
Sure plastic ready made mask would be easier. But it would be pricey at this time. So in honor of such effort I am making a post about it. As I was deeply impressed by it specially when he used this paper mache face and used a black plastic garbage bag for her dress Too bad though we can't take picture of it in our work place.
