The pharaohs are Africa's most successful national team, winning the afcon seven times, with some eye catching displays. But they have only made two appearances in the world cup, they also performed woefully on both occasions, failing to win any game on both occasions. This year will be their first appearance in 28 years and three times over all. Not a good record for Africa's best team...
They do have the opportunity to stake a major claim though..
