Can Zimbabwe win the AFCON 2019?
The warriors of Zimbabwe come to Egypt as no noobs, having made it to the group stages of the AFCON three times. They have failed to make it out of the group stages in any of the three occasions though, but they have gone on to win the COSAFA Cup a record six times, making themselves the most successful national team in the competition. The COSAFA is an annual tournament for countries in the Southern African region.
The AFCON is one that will thrill them the most though, as they look to announce themselves with the big boys.
To achieve any of that, they have to first navigate through a very tricky group A, a group that houses the favourite and host, Egypt.
However, football has in time past proven to favour the brave, then, you have to wonder, how brave can they be?
Can they finally bring their COSAFA form to the biggest tournament in African football?
We shall see, we shall see.
