Newbie Initiative task 4: Knowing the various Hive dApps

Hello everyone, welcome once again to my blog, this is my entry for the @Newbie-hive initiative task 4, thanks to Hive account@starstrings01 @Vickoly and Hive account@projectmamabg who lectured us on the various Hive dApps in which we can use to access the hive blockchain, this entry was supposee to be submitted in video format using the 3speaks dApp, unfortunately due to unforseen circumstances, we've been allowed to make a blog instead.

We were taught about various Hive dApps, which are the front end we can use to access the hive blockchain, the basic ones being;

Knowing this, I will be answering the questions given

1 What is your favourite hive dApp and why do you prefer it to other frontend?

I choosed the peakd dApp as my favourite, as it was the first dApp I got introduced to, and because of these features it has;

• it's easy to use/navigate through
• Accessing your wallet/ hive engine token is simple, all you have to do is click the three dots beside setting,
  

After the options gets displayed, you will click on the check wallet option,

so easy and your wallet is right there without any hassle also from there, you can view your hive engine tokens.

• Making transactions on the peakd frontend is quite easy too with the options readily available.

• the Hive account@peakd editor is also very easy to use, I like it's font and the preview you see instantly while writing.

• There is an analytic option where you can check your progress and general activity, still you click on the three dots beside the settings

there you have it, my analytics, click on it and you will have the statistics of your account displayed.

• you can set a favourite, if there is a particular author you like to view more of their content and want to get notified whenever they publish a post, this is the best features, just click on the three dots beside follow/unfollow button,
  

next click on add as favourite option

immediately, they've become your favourite.

• you can also set an account as your editor.
  What this means is that, after writing a post and you just want some one to go through itvdirz you incase of any error so they can help correct you, all you need to do is just set them an editor in your space, they get to see your draft but you are the only one allowed to publish the post you've drafted.

• you also can save as many drafts was you want in the peakd front-end

2 Have you ever used the Eccency dApp, if yes, what do you like about it?

Yes, I have, reason is

• you get Eccency points for most of your activity like posting, voting, rebloging, commenting etc
  

• Eccency points can be used to boost your post also can be gifted to another author, you can also use your point to boost their post.
• I like the leaderboard feature which shows the most active users, when I see my name there, I get more encouraged to be more active and when it's not there, I'm also encouraged same way to work more.
  

• Also being able to edit your
  tags is one of the feature I like about ecency

• I also like the Ecency front end because when you log in with the app, you get to see trending and latest post from folowers also the community you are subscribed to.

3 What is the 3speaksfeature makes it stand out?

The 3speak feauture that makes it stand out is that you can directly upload a video to your post through 3speaks instead of writing a link to it, like we do on other frontend.

4 Why should we upload our images through Liketu?.

We should upload our images through Liketu because you get the Liketu watermark /logo on your images when you use the Liketu front end. Also if yout post is about the image, its best to use Liketu as you also have the advantage of posting to other communities using Liketu.
