I choose to start with a positive note, even though my heart is aching with our "patch of paradise."

FLOWER

First, I beg for your indulgence that we already have a flower in our garden. There's an exemption in every rule, right? Well, this is ours. It's the only flower-bearing plant we have. Why we have this as an exemption? Well, blue ternate is a well-known herb to be rich in vitamin c.

We usually dry it.

And make it as a tea or blue water.

And just very recently, we made blue rice out of it.

It's amazing how colorful my plate has become! I have green bitter gourd, yellow sweet potato, orange carrot omelette, and blue rice! Amazing, right?

HARVEST

Our winged bean has grown so tall that I have to use a rake to get some produce. But it's really beautiful and fresh-looking, especially that I picked it after the rain.

The water drops looks so refreshing!

We also harvested the dynamite bellpeppers!

And the vibrant colors of the pepper are desirable to look at!

We have also benefited much from our oregano.

I picked dozens and dozens of leaves to make into oregano tea when I was nursing a cold.

STORM

But then a few days ago, a violent storm wreak havoc on our place, destroying the vegetation we have.

All the moringga and papaya trees feel down or cut into two, leaving nothing but memories. 😢

We do not have a choice but to cut it completely.

So now, it basically looks like this.

Our lush green garden has now become a denuded one. Huhuhu! 😭😭😭 My heart aches, but that's life. We just have to let go, and start all over again.
