from 9th/10th century. even an 'ordinary' pot stand was casted in leaded bronze.
This is from Igbo Ukwu.
ndị Igbo were never "anyhow" people. Everything was carefully thought out. Look at the complexity of the patterns made for just a Pot stand and appreciate our ingenuity please.
