Debuggex is an awesome tool that makes testing and understanding regular expressions (regex) so simple with visual mapping/diagrams of regex.

Regular expressions are one of the powers tools in programming to match text within larger text based on certain patterns. They are widely used in web scraping, database search, and many other situations in programming.

If you are like me, you probably skipped or would skip chapters on Regex when attempting to learn some programming language. They are not that easy for our brains to process at the first glance. However, our brains process images, diagrams, any visual representation of concepts with ease. For this reason, Debuggex makes it understanding regex less painful with visual diagrams.

Debuggex is great for testing regex patterns and can be used as a helper in building regex. They provide a simple tutorial on how to use the tool. They also have a cheat-sheet for different programming languages. Also, code snippets can be exported.
