Loving my step child

It is often the case that even with one's own children, some parents love one child more than another. In the short term, it may not be possible to love your step child as your own, but you can certainly try. Spend time with the child and get involved in the child's life. Love can grow between strangers over time. In the mean time, try your best to be fair towards your biological child and your stepchild. Who knows, you may even end up loving your step child more than your own!
