Meanwhile on Twitter
As we take time for introspection inside the Steem community and to discuss various issues, which lately revolve around Steemit, things happen outside our ecosystem which directly affect us.
In a post from the beginning of the year, I argued that the inner-focused content is important, but we need to focus externally more as well.
A few days ago, Bittrex asked its Twitter following
"What USD market pair would you want to see in 2019?"
STEEM was of course mentioned by some members of our community, but since we were preoccupied by internal matters, or maybe worse under the effect of FUD, this wasn't a real push like we saw for the Netcoin listing.
And I believe we can all agree having a STEEM-USD pair would make a big difference for Steem.
It is true this is not a contest, with clear rules, and who has the most replies or likes or retweets wins. And that tweets can be easily bought. More like a poll, but where sides can offer arguments.
So, why not vote for "STEEM", but also offer a compelling argument why it should have a direct fiat pair.
I've already 'voted', and previously I thought a simple "STEEM" would do, but maybe the arguments themselves will lean the balance more in our favor.
If you haven't 'voted' already, and maybe even if you did, but think you can add something of value, here's the link for your convenience:
