Is it a Good Practice to Edit Steem Proposal Posts or Create Update Posts?

I thought about this question yesterday as I wrote the initial considerations for the SteemConnect V3 Beginner's Guide.

But this was in my mind every once in a while, usually when I check out or see updates for Steem proposals.

So, the question is:
Is it a Good Practice to Edit Steem Proposal Posts or Create Update Posts?

On one side, if the Steem proposal post can be updated, the following can be accomplished:

• the proposal can be updated to include clarifications requested by people who commented on the post or from feedback received via other channels
• progress reports can be included directly in the proposal post
• updates are in one place (the proposal post) and immediately available to anyone interested in Steem proposals
• is it possible to alter the original voted proposal, and if not enough people check the edits history, to receive undeserved votes and funding?

On the other side, if distinct posts are created with progress reports:

• more people will likely see them, because not all use the SPS, and we are consumers of 7 days max content
• the interest in the proposal is tested regularly through the comments on the updates, the upvotes received, and the shift in proposal votes they may generate

What is your opinion on this?
