Did You Know This About A Chicken?

Did You Know

That a chicken egg comes out of the chicken butt? But chicken butt is not called a butt but a vent.

Confused?

  1. Eggs come out of the chicken vent
  2. Chicken vent is where chickens poop, pee and lay egg. That's the part with orange circle in the picture.

It's amazing how most of the times, the eggs we get are really clean and they don't have poop.

Only when the chicken feathers close to the vent have poop that the eggs get some poop on them.

We don't wash the eggs until we're ready to cook them. The bloom that covers the eggs keeps bacteria from penetrating the eggshell so don't wash your eggs until you're ready to eat them.

If you really have to wash the poop off, my mom said she uses paper towel with a little peroxide or just water to take the poop off.
