Ant-Man and the Wasp is a 2018 superhero film based on the Marvel Comics characters Ant-Man and the Wasp. The film is the sequel to Ant-Man and the twentieth installment in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). The film was directed by Peyton Reed and stars Paul Rudd as Scott Lang / Ant-Man, alongside an ensemble cast including Evangeline Lilly, Michael Peña, Walton Goggins, Bobby Cannavale, Judy Greer, Tip "T.I." Harris, David Dastmalchian, Hannah John-Kamen, and Michelle Pfeiffer.

The plot of the film picks up after the events of Captain America: Civil War, with Scott Lang under house arrest for his involvement in the Avengers' actions. He is approached by Hope van Dyne / the Wasp, who enlists his help to rescue her mother Janet van Dyne, the original Wasp, from the quantum realm.

Scott and Hope must team up with former Ant-Man, Hank Pym, to develop a technology that will allow them to enter the quantum realm and rescue Janet. However, they are pursued by a ruthless businessman named Sonny Burch, who seeks to steal the technology for his own gain.

The film explores the themes of family, loyalty, and the consequences of power. The character development of Scott Lang and Hope van Dyne is central to the plot, as they learn to work together and trust each other.
