Urban Explore 8th edition [Sentiments from the Past]

It’s fascinating how we make time for the sentiments that we had on the important things that we have in our lives.

The city of Singapore is putting a ton of value on its history. Aside from the museums that hold the most important artifacts or relics of its past. There are also a huge number of street arts that manifest the early days of this country.

My #urbanexplore brought me to the Cross street area, if you are curious about the name, one of the speculations is that it is due to how it crosses the street at Chinatown area. Which means it doesn’t relate to a religious affiliation of some sort.

Along the main street, the remarkable buildings that I noticed are the Hindu temples that populate this area. In addition, the old buildings that are known as the “Shophouses” were are preserved well and being utilized for commercial establishments.

While exploring more about the Cross street area, I also found interesting some street art and sculpture that depicts the early days of Singapore. It’s interesting how I can relive the moments from the past just by viewing these street art. Allow me to give you a tour around this area.
