...here we are with another try to introduce you the world of precious metals...
....in my previous posts i talked about Platinum ,the leader of PGMs ...
...don't you think it is time to speak about another player of this Group???
...PGM stands for Platinum Group Metals and one of the major team-mates is Rhodium....

...Rhodium is a silver-white metallic element highly resistant to corrosion...
..its name,pay some attention please, coΜΕs from the Greek word 'Rhodon'...ΡΟΔΟ - ΤΡΙΑΝΤΑΦΥΛΛΟ ...it was named like this cause its salts are red-rose colored....

...one of the things i know very well is that this noble metal has an extremely high melting point at about 2000 Celcius degrees and this is a reason why like platinum cannot be used in high quantities in jewellery industry...
..i have to underline that Rhodium is extremely rare...actually is the rarest from the PGM family...
...and what about its price??
...look at the following chart...

...the price sky-rocketed from July 2019 to january 2021...right now is at about 18750 US dollar per ounce...
....yes you read it correctly...per ounce...if you had a kilo of Rh you would probably hold 602830 US dollars...it's a lot of money!!!
