Eating and Drinking My Tea
First Time At a Fruit Cafe
I caught up with a friend and she told me about a fruit cafe. After the description of her experience there, I got so interested in experiencing it myself. I have been to cafes that serve fruits but had never been to one that specializes in fruits. It had whole fresh fruits for sale, dried fruits, fruit sandwiches, waffles with fruits and fruit parfaits.
Tea and Parfait
My friend and I decided to go to the cafe together. We ordered tea and parfait. We had tea with and without lemon. She ordered a strawberry parfait and I ordered a melon (cantaloupe) one. Now, if I would make a confession, I’d say, I often and can easily get excited about fruits. I don’t know if there’s a term as “fruit-struck” but this particular tea and parfait experience literally had me fruit- struck and at some point, speechless.
We Ate and Drank our Tea
There was something special were several things special about the parfaits. They were so beautifully done. At the base, was tea jelly. It was my first time eating it. It had a delicate flavor and paired well with the fruits and the actual cups of tea. We could clearly see the freshness of the fruits. As we were served, our eyes lit with excitement. We were ready to eat, but at the same time, couldn’t. We admired the parfaits, took photos and then dug in. We had seen the freshness but when we tasted it, we became…speechless.
This has been my best tea and fruit cafe experience ever.
