Compliment Bombs: An Idea to Share Excellent Posts from Hive, Make People Feel Great, and Expose People to the FreeCompliments Community

Let’s introduce the concept of a Compliment Bomb, a truly explosive idea for FreeCompliments! You’ll have to forgive all of the puns that will inevitably appear in this post.

What is a Compliment Bomb?

The idea behind a compliment bomb is to reblog a post which we like straight to FreeCompliments, so that it can be complimented by the community. We strongly encourage quality content, and believe that it deserves engagement and compliments!

A compliment bomb would come about when multiple members of our community come to the post and write out compliments. It’s an explosion of love brought on by our community.

How do we deploy a Compliment Bomb?

In order to ensure that the recipient is aware that this is coming from FreeCompliments, simply write out your compliment and addend the following text at the end:

I'd like to reblog this post to the FreeCompliments community I think this deserves a "Compliment Bomb" from our members, and I hope that you enjoy the explosion of love you'll collectively receive from us. 😁

This is how I wrote it out for the very first Compliment Bomb (note that I also chose to include Threads for further exposure, where I used the #freecompliments tag):

Then, I crossposted this using the FreeCompliments community account @hive-140084. If you want to reblog it yourself, please feel free to do so. If you want your blog page clean and would rather not do it yourself, tag @hive-140084 and the community account will gladly do the reblogging!

When reblogging, I wrote the following description so that it’s clear what we found so compliment-worthy (although our generous members can likely find other things to compliment as well!). Here’s an example:

Once seen by the community account, you’ll get voted for sharing quality content, giving a compliment (which is the whole point of this initiative!), and helping promote the community.

Conclusion

We can set off our Compliment Bombs at any day or time that we want! The shrapnels of joy will be appreciated by the masses, and the smiles produced will by dynamite. It’s a simple and highly rewarding process!
