Vor ein paar Tagen war es dann soweit. Ich war das erste Mal in Berlin. Und zwar mit einer politischen Informationsfahrt, organisiert von einem unserer Bundestagsabgeordneten. Ja richtig, für Lau.
A few days ago it was then so far. I was in Berlin for the first time. It was a political information trip organized by one of our members of the Bundestag. Yes, that's right, for lukewarm.
Jeder Bundestagsabgeordnete darf dies drei mal pro Jahr anbieten. Und bei dieser Fahrt hab ich dann eben zwei Plätze ergattert.
Every member of the Bundestag is allowed to offer this three times a year. And on this trip, I got hold of two seats.
Man hat zwar ein straffes Rahmenprogramm, aber auch genug Zeit die Stadt ein wenig zu genießen. So gab es neben der Besichtigung des Bundestags und des Ministerium für Arbeit und Soziales auch eine Stadtrundfahrt und eine Tour zum ehemaligen KZ Sachsenhausen.
You have a tight social program, but also enough time to enjoy the city a little. In addition to a visit to the Bundestag and the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs, there was also a city tour and a tour of the former Sachsenhausen concentration camp.
Ein kleines Highlight war der Werbewagen des Bud Spencer Museums. Ich als Fanboy musste da natürlich ein Foto machen. Für das Museum selbst hatten wir leider keine Zeit. Das werde ich beim nächsten Besuch nachholen.
A small highlight was the advertising car of the Bud Spencer Museum. As a fanboy, I had to take a photo there, of course. Unfortunately, we had no time for the museum itself. I will make up for that on my next visit.
Und natürlich haben wir uns auch die Reste der Berliner Mauer angeschaut.
And of course we also looked at the remains of the Berlin Wall.
In Sachsenhausen habe ich keine Fotos gemacht. Das fand ich unangemessen. Daher habe ich dort nur die Eindrücke gesammelt. Schrecklich, wozu Menschen fähig sind.
