You slowly open the door half expecting the worst. Not only were you not attacked you did not even feel any push on the door as if something was trying to get in either. You open it even wider and notice there was nothing at the door.
You then look down the stairs to see if the wooden carvings were sitting there waiting for you to come back down. There was nothing down there either. It was however too far away to tell if they had returned to the tables and chairs they use to be a part of.
You have already visited the bathroom. There are five other rooms to explore on this level. While there is another stairway going up to a third floor it has collapsed over time. You do not think it would be safe to venture up it. As it might cause further deterioration of the stairway and collapse even further onto itself.
