Karwendel Hut Weekend
Another weekend, another hike sleeping in a mountain hut! This time we chose a route in the Karwendel mountain range in Austria really close to the German border. The way up to the hut was a lot of unspectacular gravel road, unfortunately. But the hut was located really nicely at the bottom of a mountain wall, which was pretty cool.
And we were rewarded with both a really beautiful sunset and sunrise I could shoot from a little hill next to the hut.
And here goes the sunrise.
Staying in these huts feels great for my mental health, it's just pure disconnection from everyday life (which makes going back to everyday life after such a weekend quite hard but that's for another topic).
Before we hiked back down, we took a little detour on an around 2400m high peak. Light of course wasn't that good anymore but there was a nice view towards the hut where you can see its scale quite well.
