Watching a Beaver cleaning intself
The European Beaver is the biggest rodent in Europe and this last weekend I saw it cleaning its fur just a few meters away from me on the other side of the Thaya River. I was looking for birds when suddenly the beaver climbed out of the water and cleaned its fur with it's hands right in front of me. It only took him seconds before it dove back into the water and swam away. But It was a great wildlife moment for me. Since the Thaya river is not really broad the other river shore is just a few meters away and therefore I could get really close to the beaver. I didn't have to move closer because it came out of the water directly on the oposite side of the river.
Unfortunately it was such a short time that I forgot to take a video :-(
