Pheasant in the snow

Males Pheasants are veryy colorful and beautiful when on the other hand the females have a quite inconspicuous color and can hide a little bit easier due to their camouflage color. But in the snow they are both very good visible. The male with its beautiful colors is especially beautiful in the snowy background. Pheasants are one of the more common birds here in Austria that can be found the whole year round. They often can be found on crop fields or near the edges of forrests. And trying to take some pictures from the Car window also enhances your chance to get closer to this bird.
