Beaver bite marks at the nature reserve
I used to spend a lot of time at the nature reserve of the Weikerlsee near the Dnaube river since it is usually a nice place to do some birdspotting and walking. If you are lucky you can also find a beaver there but they are usually only seen right after sunrise or just before sunset. But what you can see clearly are the bitemarks on the trees that they leave behind. The beavers try to cut down some trees and build their beaver castle in the water near the shore. Back in 2021 I tried to get some pictures of the beaver and spent a lot of time there at the nature reserve but without luck. During the day they are only very seldom seen and when it is dark in the night I don't really want to walk around in the woods since it can be dangerous triping over fallen trees or falling in a hole full of mudd. So I discarded the plans to take some beaver pictures and went for some birdphotography instead. But at least I found the evidence that there are beavers because of the bite marks on the trees.
