Censorship and fact-checking.

One of the big problems for a ruling elite are the difficulties they face in keeping the same high levels of secrecy around their activities that they have grown accustomed to having... for decades.

Transparency is what reveals the truth behind the façade. Transparency pulls back the curtain on the wizard. You would think honest people would not be afraid of transparency… but since the culture of corruption working in concert with a power-serving propaganda media, and to which they are all connected to, relies upon obfuscation and lies, this makes transparency anathema to their objectives and ongoing activities.

This is why SO much money and effort has been put into censorship and paid fact-checking and in getting us, the public, into policing each other and aggressively attacking certain friends and sources as wrong or lacking credibility… and all that annoying accusatory shit.

This same level of insulation applies all across the upper tiers of control - of which politicians are mere middle managers.
