Welcome to your guide for the #IAmAliveChallenge, I hope you will find the information beneficial and helpful, and this guide will also be updated with new information as this challenge progresses.

The Start

The #IAmAliveChallenge started with the announcement in this video, I Am Alive - Day 1 - #IAmAliveChallenge - #HiveIsAlive.

What this is all about is to remember and celebrate that we are alive despite the hard times we live in, we have the Corona, the economy is going down and many places are hit with natural disasters, so by sharing that we are alive each day we celebrate that.

You are alive, that matters, share it with the world, and on the Hive blockchain.

This is the 4 points to join the #IAmAliveChallenge, and please use the #alive tag to post in We Are Alive Tribe and earn ALIVE tokens.

Our Hive Community

We have a Hive Community which has been set up to help you find other participants and to spur engagement among the participants, and our community makes this easy.

If you are making videos on 3speak, just start typing I Am Alive Challenge, and you will be able to select our community to publish in, and if you are using PeakD you can select communities that you have subscribed to in the drop down menu up top, plus Dapplr can also post to Hive Communities.

On the other hand if you do not want it to go directly to our community, then you can Cross Post it to our community using PeakD, they have fixed it since the earlier version, and it's now more like reblogging.

I Am Alive Challenge Account

We have an official account for the #IAmAliveChallenge on the Hive blockchain, it's @iamalivechalleng, yeah I know the last "e" had to be cut since user names has a max length of 16 characters.

With this account we do all tipping on videos published in our Hive Community, and we also reblog and upvote (15%) all posts for the #IAmAliveChallenge that we can find each day.

To make finding posts easier we only follow participants in the #IAmAliveChallenge, and then go through the feed, plus we also look at our Hive Community and at recent posts with the #IAmAliveChallenge tag (the tag search only find posts if it's in the first 5 tags).

We also make a daily post on this account, which is featuring the Alive Engagement Contest, welcoming new participants, and it includes a Daily Spotlight of a post or video from a participant in the #IAmAliveChallenge.

Alive Engagement Contest

On the @iamalivechalleng account we are running a daily engagement contest, we have 1 winner each day that gets a leased 200 Hive Power delegation for 4 weeks, and that is handled through Dlease.

To take part in this contest you need to follow the instructions, and anyone can participate.

1. Go to the Daily Spotlight post of the day, upvote it and make a meaningful comment on it.
2. Make a comment on the daily post from @iamalivechalleng in the comment section, and include the username for the person in Daily Spotlight for that day.

Also do take note if the daily post from @iamalivechalleng is OPEN or CLOSED for entries, you see that in the title.

This will give you an entry ticket for the daily contest, and the winner is selected through a daily drawing that you can see in the video which is included in the daily post.

Tipping On Comments And Videos

We are rewarding meaningful top level comments made on posts by the @iamalivechalleng account with BEER tokens, and valid entries that gets a ticket for the Alive Engagement Contest also gets BEER tokens, plus the Daily Spotlight post gets the same.

Tips in Hive are given on videos that are published in our Hive Community, either directly or Cross Posted, we want to give an extra incentive to promote the making of videos, and that they get published in our Hive Community, plus the Daily Spotlight also gets a Tip in Hive.

Dustsweeper

We are also using the @dustsweeper service, and have enabled the INOUT priority, this means that incoming votes on posts and comments which does not reach the 2 cent payout threshold will be upvoted by them to get a payout.

It also protects outgoing votes, by upvoting posts and comments that has been upvoted by @iamalivechalleng AND that will get a Curation Reward if paid out, and who also does not reach the 2 cent payout threshold.

This way we are making sure that all posts made for the #IAmAliveChallenge actually gets paid out, it can be a problem if the Curation Trail misses to vote due to some technical issues, and if there is a newcomer who does not yet get that many votes on their posts.

Our Discord

We have a Discord for Team Alive and there you can ask any questions and get help, there is usually someone around at any time.

In our Discord you can also promote your posts and videos, both for the #IAmAliveChallenge and other posts in their respective channels.

We have also quite a bit of resources made available, like graphics, and you just have to ask to get custom graphics with your own picture on it.

I Am Alive On Twitter

We have set up a list on Twitter, so participants can more easily find each other there, and we will add new participants that uses the #IAmAliveChallenge tag as they start promoting their posts and videos there.

If you have not been added yet, just ask and we will add you to the list.

Our Curation Trail

We have set up a curation trail for the challenge, it is managed by @bradleyarrow, and active participants in the challenge gets daily upvotes from it, plus if you join it you also get higher upvotes, and the instructions to do so can be found here, Joining a Curation Trail... Updated.

Bradley is also available in our Discord, and has a channel set up just for the curation trail, so don't hesitate to ask him if you have any questions.

Hive Affiliates Community

We have created the Hive Affiliates Community to act as a knowledgebase for all things Hive and affiliate marketing.

And it has a special focus on information for the #IAmAliveChallenge participants, and to help them get started on the Hive blockchain, how to use their accounts, and how to grow as a content creator, as well as adding affiliate marketing on top if they want that.

It also has an index to make it easy to find anything that you are looking for, and new guides and tutorials are added as we go, Hive Affiliates Community - The Guide.

Team Alive has created the I Am Alive ebook, and this has been done to help you even further to get rewarded for joining the #IAmAliveChallenge, and to onboard more people to the Hive blockchain and the CTPtalk tribe on Hive-engine.

And do note that this ebook is the main link between the #IAmAliveChallenge and the CTPtalk tribe, so only use the #ctp tag if you are promoting the ebook in your post, or if your content is otherwise related to online business.

It has everything that a newcomer on the blockchain will need to get set up and start making blog posts and videos.

It also has everything that a person on the blockchain needs to add an additional income to their rewards on Hive through affiliate marketing by the use of building an email list, which can also be used to get more visistors to your blog posts and videos.
