Wise One

The wise is the one who has the capacity to acquire information from his life and his experiences, and use it for his own well-being and that of others. The wise teaches what he knows, act as he thinks, is honest and never lies. Wisdom develops with one's own experience, gaining an understanding that allows us to reflect. In this way we can distinguish between good and bad, right and wrong. If we associate wisdom with morals, we get good judgment. True wisdom is not just about acquiring knowledge, but about being happy in life.
Tyner introduces the theme and Coltrane enters with a very slow melody. Jones joins in with the cymbals and then Garrison. Coltrane seems to evoke the peace and tranquility of a wise person and his or her reflections. Now McCoy describes the characteristics of such a person as follows: gentle, intelligent, lucid, prudent and judicious. Coltrane comes in again, imagining what that person must feel and strives to understand he or she with his sometimes choppy phrases. He ends up going back to the original melody, trying to feel the same as that person.
